Company providing spectator, volunteer and media transportation to event
CINCINNATI—First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, will provide continuous shuttle service for the 65th U.S. Women’s Open Championship, a United States Golf Association (USGA) event, from Monday, July 5, through Sunday, July 11. The company has contracted with the Bruno Event Team to provide buses to transport spectators, media and volunteers between the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Tarentum, the public parking location for the tournament, and the course at the Oakmont Country Club.
Parking for spectators is free and only available at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills. First Student will provide free shuttle service from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, July 5 through Sunday, July 11. Shuttles will run continuously within these time periods.
First Student Charter Bus Rental will operate approximately 100 buses and a number of wheelchair-accessible vans throughout the event. Numerous drivers, supervisors and staff from throughout the company’s Western and Central Pennsylvania locations will be working during the tournament. First Student will also provide van transportation for the junior volunteers from the Pittsburgh Youth Golf Foundation who will volunteer during the tournament.
